Find me a Bargain Holiday to Morroco

Riu Tikida Dunas or Riu Palace, Agadir, Morocco

Today’s Challenge from one of our visitors is to

Find me a Bargain Holiday to Agadir, Morocco in a Riu Hotel

The specific requirements are:

  • Depart between 6th April and 9th April
  • Duration – 7 Nights
  • 3 adults in 1 room
  • Flying from London Gatwick
  • All Inclusive at 4 or 5 Star Hotel
  • ideally staying at either Riu Tikida Dunas or Riu Palace
  • Maximum budget of £3000

This turned out to be a harder challenge than I expected. Not because of an unrealistic budget, which was fine, but because of the departure dates and the limited number of tour operators who offer holidays to Morroco.

However, I did find the deals below, and I hope my visitor is able to move their holiday by a day in order to get the benefit of these great deals which are well within budget.

The companies able to meet this requirement were FirstChoice.co.uk and Thomson.co.uk.

Fully Inclusive Holidays to Cape Verde

Fully Inclusive Holidays to Cape Verde from ThomsonHolidays

For many holiday makers, fully inclusive holidays in Cape Verde mean making a bee line for Santa Maria in Sal or Boa Vista. They are definitely two of the most highly-developed islands, however nonetheless thankfully unbuilt-up. Here, you will uncover clear blue seas and expansive beaches surrounded by vast deserts. Don’t forget resorts like Sal’s Santa Maria and Sal Rei on Boa Vista. These picture postcard towns each have a friendly atmosphere, attractive cobble-stoned streets and pastel-coloured houses. And an extremely lengthy stretch of silky sands, sparkling seas, with watersports like scuba diving and windsurfing available.

Be sure to experience many of the other treats which fully inclusive holidays in Cape Verde offer us. Sit back and enjoy a dazzling sunset whilst dining on super-fresh seafood. Check out Sal’s capital, Espargos, and swim inside the eye-popping Blue Eye Lagoon.

ThomsonHolidays have an excellent selection of Cape Verde Fully Inclusive Holidays. They have terrific getaways to locations like the beautiful ClubHotel Riu Funana and their platinum resort ClubHotel Riu Karamboa.

Why We Like FirstChoice

FirstChoice is another of our favourite Travel Companies.

They are very much a family-orientated Tour Operator, but they also cater to the requirements of all.

A quick look at their website gives you an easy insight into the variety of holidays they offer, and a glance at the great holiday deals will soon convince you that here is another Holiday Company whose site is worthy of exploration as you search for your next ideal holiday.

FirstChoice highlight a number of exclusives on their home page:

FirstChoice Holiday Villages

These renowned Holiday Villages are geared up to guarantee family fun on holiday. The kids are extremely well catered for, with Kids’ Clubs, Stage Academy, Swim Academy and International Football Academy. The adults are not forgotten either, with excellent food and entertainment, sports and activities, not to mention Health and Fitness facilities. FirstChoice Holiday Villages really are planned to ensure their rooms and facilities keep everybody in the family happy!Majorca Holiday Village prices start at £176, with Costa Del Sol a little more from £194. The Algarve and Cyprus come in under £250 per person, or you could opt for Egypt, Turkey, Lanzarote, Tenerife or Rhodes. All Inclusive is available at all the Holiday Villages, although some also offer self-catering options.

FirstChoice Splash Hotels and Waterparks

You can really ramp the family fun up a gear with these excellent hotels. At the Waterparks the family can enjoy things like twisting flumes, lazy rivers and wave pools – and your holiday price includes free unlimited use of them while you are there, which is always great news for your wallet.Hotels, on the other hand, have loads of sports and activities, appealing restaurants and spacious bedrooms, so are always popular with families. What is more, FirstChoice have added another 11 Splash hotels to their selection for Summer 2011, with fun water facilities onsite or nearby (again, with unlimited use included in the cost of your holiday). With the new new Splash Hotels in Sharm El Sheikh, Turkey, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Bulgaria, Zakynthos, Cyprus and Florida there are plenty of options of where to go this year.

FirstChoice Premier Holidays

This is the FirstChoice offering for those seeking those extra special touches and that added element of luxury and quality. The collection of 4 star and 5 star properties which make up the FirstChoice Premier Holidays collection, providing such exquisite additions as an awe-inspiring ocean view from the comfort of your room, superb service and fantastic food every night. There are Premier Holidays for everyone, with Premier Luxury including the very best properties, Premier Families with fun-filled facilities for families, and for couples there are the Adults Only Premier Hotels. The price needn’t break the bank, either, as they start at an incredible £215.

And of course, FirstChoice does All Inclusives for every pocket.

They have gone one step further than other Tour Operators, and actually classify their All Inclusive Holidays so you are in no doubt over what All Inclusive means – as many holidays may have already found out to their disappointment, if you don’t check the hotel details carefully you may find some of the facilities you thought were All Included do actually incur an extra charge. FirstChoice have gone out of their way to avoid this confusion as they obvioiusly want their customers to be happy with their holiday. We would really like to see the other Tour Operators follow FirstChoice’s lead on this one.

If you like the sound of FirstChoice, just visit the FirstChoice Holidays website to see for yourself where they can take you on your next holiday.

All Inclusives

All Inclusives – The Benefits and Drawbacks

All Inclusives have become increasingly popular over recent years, but there are still those who prefer to go on holiday and pay for their meals and activities separately. We thought it would be timely to take a step back and look at what we consider are the advantages and disadvantages of All Inclusives over other types of holidays.

Travel Companies Who Offer the Best and Cheapest All Inclusives

Thomson Holidays | First Choice Holidays | Kuoni holidays | Sandals Resorts

The Benefits of All Inclusives

1. Predictable Cost – You pretty much know what the total cost of your holiday will be at the time you book it. Of course, there will be other standard and fairly predictable costs to pay as well, like holiday insurance and maybe airport car parking or an airport hotel – or perhaps a combined airport hotel parking package. However, there won’t be very much more to shock you when you receive your credit card statement when you return home
2. Convenience – You don’t have to make a decision over whether to eat in the hotel or outside. In most cases, as you will have already paid for your meal, you’ll decide to eat in one of the resort hotel restaurants. There is no need to go food shopping when you would rather be relaxing on the beach, other than to hunt out some local delicacy to try out (but only if you feel like doing so). There is no catering for the family, and clearing up the mess, and performing other domestic chores which you no doubt have your fill of when at home.
3. Range of activities – All Inclusives invariably include a variety of water and beach sports as part of the package. Depending on the tour operator you may find you will have to pay for motor sports as an extra though.
4. Money Stays in Your Hotel Safe – This is the one I like. With so much included in the price of All Inclusives, your purse of wallet can be left locked in the hotel safe. This has several advantages:

  1. You can’t spend it!
  2. There is no chance you will lose it.
  3. It won’t be stolen.
  4. Less Stress and Pressure – Maybe it is just me, but the thought of wandering around with no money needed, saying ‘yes’ to the kids every time they ask for an ice cream or a snack without worrying about the mounting costs which will greet me on my return, all adds up to a stress-free holiday for me.

The Drawbacks of All Inclusives

Although I am a huge fan of All Inclusives, I do acknowledge that they are not right for everyone, and there are a few disadvantages. The key ones are
1. All Inclusives encourage holidaymakers to stay in the resort for most of their holiday, and although they will take day trips out it is harder to justify an excursion which needs an overnight stop, as you therefore end up paying twice for the facilities.
2. Eating outside the resort also presents similar dilemmas. You have paid for your food already, so it can be difficult to justify spending extra money and paying for your meals again. This can mean you return from your holiday without having tried as much of the local cuisine as those who choose not to take the All Inclusive option.
3. Although All Inclusives continue to grow rapidly in popularity, not all resorts offer an All Inclusive Package. By starting your search for a holiday with ‘All Inclusive’ as a ‘must have’ will means some hotels are immediately excluded from the list of those available to you.

Travel Companies Who Offer the Best and Cheapest All Inclusives

Thomson Holidays | First Choice Holidays | Kuoni holidays | Sandals Resorts

If, like us, you are still sold on the idea of All Inclusives, then it is important to search around for the best deal. Personally we find the following companies offer the leading selection and price when we are hunting for the perfect All Inclusives Offers.

Lastminute Luxury Holidays

Lastminute Luxury Holidays Offer a Real Treat

Lastminute Luxury Holidays offer us the opportunity to spoil ourselves at a top-quality resort without paying the usual high price.

Most of us like the chance to experience some luxury, but not all of us can afford to pamper ourselves in this way with first class accommodation when we are booking our holiday. However, if you are ok with the idea of waiting until the 11th hour before booking your holiday, then there is real scope to bag a bargain and secure a stay at a 5 star resort at the normal price of a 3 star or 4 star resort.

We have our favourites when it comes to tour operators who make it easy to locate the best holiday bargains.

Thomson and First Choice use a similar and intuitive late booking search engine. You can be as vague as you like, and it presents all those matching holidays up to 6 weeks ahead. For example, you can easily limit the results to those with a 5T or 5 Sun rating respectively, without specifying a destination. You can immediately see that First Choice is offering a week in April in a 5 Sun hotel on an all inclusive basis for just £302, and Thomson is offering a week in Tunisia all inclusive as well, this time at the superb Riu Palace Hammamet Marhaba, for £388.

Lastminute.com has a special page (see right hand side of home page) which specifically lists ‘5* holidays for 3* prices‘, and clicking through shows 5* Lanzarote holidays from £348, 5* Sharm el Sheikh from £459, 5* Dom Rep from £726 and 5* Mexico from £800.

Thomas Cook is offering Lastminute Luxury Holidays to Turkey in a 5* all inclusive resort from just £323.

So.., to find the best in Lastminute Luxury Holidays just follow the links to one of the tour operator, and have a great top quality holiday!

Lastminute Holidays All Inclusive

Lastminute Holidays All Inclusive Deals Available

It is a perfect time to be searching for those Lastminute Holidays All Inclusive Deals which all the main tour operators are keen to tell you about. The Easter holidays are just around the corner, and for families looking for some fun and some sun there are many bargains waiting.

We have been doing our usual scout of the tour operators, and for Lastminute all Inclusive Holidays we think you’ll struggle to beat the following:

First of all, we have to mention that there is a Thomson Voucher Code valid for today and tomorrow only, offering an extra £50 off all May holidays. A little late for the Easter break but fine for couples or groups not bound by the school holidays.

Thomas Cook has 7 Night Lastminute Holidays All Inclusive to Tunisia from just £229 and Turkey from £269.

Thomson has Last Minute All Inclusive Holidays to Tunisia from £230, Turkey from £254, Majorca from £282 and Morocco from £321.

First Choice has 4* Late All Inclusive Deals to the ClubHotel Riu Marco Polo in Tunisia for £271, Crete for £318, the Algarve for £329, Cyprus from £422 and Cuba for £596.

Direct Holidays Lastminute Holidays, All Inclusive, include Turkey for £171, Majorca from £267, Tunisia from £224, Cape Verde from £548 and Mexico from £666.

Lastminute.com offers All Inclusive Holidays to places including 4* tenerife from £278, 4* turkey from £287, 5* lanzarote from £318, 4* sharm el sheikh egypt from £449 and 5* gambia from £729

Of course, you will discover the best deals if you can be flexible of your travel arrangements, either with the date you travel or the resort and hotel you choose. However, wherever you decide to go we are confident one of the tour operators above will have the cheapest Lastminute Holidays All Inclusive deals around.
