Last Min Holidays

Last Min Holidays Mean Great Holiday Bargains

Last Min Holidays give us the chance to enjoy a first rate resort hotel without having to pay the normal price.

I believe the majority of people would like the opportunity to book an all inclusive holiday bargain, and by waiting until a week or two before your planned date of departure you really can secure yourself superb Last Min Holidays at a fantastic price. You can often find 5 star resorts and accommodation available at 3 star or 4 star prices. Or you can end up buying an all inclusive holiday for the normal price of a non all-inclusive holiday. This can make a real difference to the enjoyment you will get from your holiday.

Some tour operators have better search facilities than others, when it comes to locating the best all inclusive Last Min Holiday deals. We have listed some of our favourites below:

ThomsonHolidays and FirstChoice employ a search facility to seek out those Last Minute Holidays. As soon as you go to the Late Deals page you are presented with a huge list of Last Min Holidays which you can sort and filter based on destination, star rating, price and board basis, just to give a few examples. By default you will be presented with all holidays departing in the next 6 weeks, but I always use the filter so I just get the All Inclusive Deals. Doing this, you can easily find out that ThomsonHolidays has a week in Ibiza for £293, or a week in Turkey for £309. Similarly, FirstChoice Holidays has a week’s all inclusive holiday to Majorca for just £310, or a week in a Dominican Republic 4 Star Hotel for £638.

Of course, both ThomsonHolidays and FirstChoice have tens of thousands of Last Min Holidays on offer.

On the Lastminute.com holidays page you’ll see on the right hand side a specific link to ‘5* holidays for 3* prices‘. Follow that link, and you’ll see 5* Turkey holidaysfrom £334, 5* Sharm el Sheikh from £539, and 5* Dom Rep from £742.

ThomasCook Holidays is another popular tour operator, who are currently advertising Last Minute All Inclusive Holidays to Fuerteventura for £354 or to Crete for £355.

Ready to discover the best Last Min Holidays? just follow the links to one of the tour operators above and enjoy a fantastic all inclusive holiday!

All Inclusives

All Inclusives – The Benefits and Drawbacks

All Inclusives have become increasingly popular over recent years, but there are still those who prefer to go on holiday and pay for their meals and activities separately. We thought it would be timely to take a step back and look at what we consider are the advantages and disadvantages of All Inclusives over other types of holidays.

Travel Companies Who Offer the Best and Cheapest All Inclusives

Thomson Holidays | First Choice Holidays | Kuoni holidays | Sandals Resorts

The Benefits of All Inclusives

1. Predictable Cost – You pretty much know what the total cost of your holiday will be at the time you book it. Of course, there will be other standard and fairly predictable costs to pay as well, like holiday insurance and maybe airport car parking or an airport hotel – or perhaps a combined airport hotel parking package. However, there won’t be very much more to shock you when you receive your credit card statement when you return home
2. Convenience – You don’t have to make a decision over whether to eat in the hotel or outside. In most cases, as you will have already paid for your meal, you’ll decide to eat in one of the resort hotel restaurants. There is no need to go food shopping when you would rather be relaxing on the beach, other than to hunt out some local delicacy to try out (but only if you feel like doing so). There is no catering for the family, and clearing up the mess, and performing other domestic chores which you no doubt have your fill of when at home.
3. Range of activities – All Inclusives invariably include a variety of water and beach sports as part of the package. Depending on the tour operator you may find you will have to pay for motor sports as an extra though.
4. Money Stays in Your Hotel Safe – This is the one I like. With so much included in the price of All Inclusives, your purse of wallet can be left locked in the hotel safe. This has several advantages:

  1. You can’t spend it!
  2. There is no chance you will lose it.
  3. It won’t be stolen.
  4. Less Stress and Pressure – Maybe it is just me, but the thought of wandering around with no money needed, saying ‘yes’ to the kids every time they ask for an ice cream or a snack without worrying about the mounting costs which will greet me on my return, all adds up to a stress-free holiday for me.

The Drawbacks of All Inclusives

Although I am a huge fan of All Inclusives, I do acknowledge that they are not right for everyone, and there are a few disadvantages. The key ones are
1. All Inclusives encourage holidaymakers to stay in the resort for most of their holiday, and although they will take day trips out it is harder to justify an excursion which needs an overnight stop, as you therefore end up paying twice for the facilities.
2. Eating outside the resort also presents similar dilemmas. You have paid for your food already, so it can be difficult to justify spending extra money and paying for your meals again. This can mean you return from your holiday without having tried as much of the local cuisine as those who choose not to take the All Inclusive option.
3. Although All Inclusives continue to grow rapidly in popularity, not all resorts offer an All Inclusive Package. By starting your search for a holiday with ‘All Inclusive’ as a ‘must have’ will means some hotels are immediately excluded from the list of those available to you.

Travel Companies Who Offer the Best and Cheapest All Inclusives

Thomson Holidays | First Choice Holidays | Kuoni holidays | Sandals Resorts

If, like us, you are still sold on the idea of All Inclusives, then it is important to search around for the best deal. Personally we find the following companies offer the leading selection and price when we are hunting for the perfect All Inclusives Offers.

Lastminute Luxury Holidays

Lastminute Luxury Holidays Offer a Real Treat

Lastminute Luxury Holidays offer us the opportunity to spoil ourselves at a top-quality resort without paying the usual high price.

Most of us like the chance to experience some luxury, but not all of us can afford to pamper ourselves in this way with first class accommodation when we are booking our holiday. However, if you are ok with the idea of waiting until the 11th hour before booking your holiday, then there is real scope to bag a bargain and secure a stay at a 5 star resort at the normal price of a 3 star or 4 star resort.

We have our favourites when it comes to tour operators who make it easy to locate the best holiday bargains.

Thomson and First Choice use a similar and intuitive late booking search engine. You can be as vague as you like, and it presents all those matching holidays up to 6 weeks ahead. For example, you can easily limit the results to those with a 5T or 5 Sun rating respectively, without specifying a destination. You can immediately see that First Choice is offering a week in April in a 5 Sun hotel on an all inclusive basis for just £302, and Thomson is offering a week in Tunisia all inclusive as well, this time at the superb Riu Palace Hammamet Marhaba, for £388.

Lastminute.com has a special page (see right hand side of home page) which specifically lists ‘5* holidays for 3* prices‘, and clicking through shows 5* Lanzarote holidays from £348, 5* Sharm el Sheikh from £459, 5* Dom Rep from £726 and 5* Mexico from £800.

Thomas Cook is offering Lastminute Luxury Holidays to Turkey in a 5* all inclusive resort from just £323.

So.., to find the best in Lastminute Luxury Holidays just follow the links to one of the tour operator, and have a great top quality holiday!

Last Minute Cheapest Holidays

Last Minute Cheapest Holidays

Although the Last Minute Cheapest Holidays we promote are generally All Inclusive, as our name implies, occasionally we like to let you know about other great deals. We do recognise that some people prefer self catering or B&B for the flexibility it provides, as you are not tied or feeling obliged to always eat in the hotel. For others, Half Board is perfect as they expect to be out and about during the daytime.

With this in mind we are happy to let you know about some of the Last Minute Cheapest Holidays which are ‘non All-inclusive’.

  • With Self Catering and B&B holidays in May to Majorca, Rhodes, Dalaman, Halkidiki and Kos all under or costing £182, Thomson gets us off to a good start.
  • Offering Holidays to Majorca for just £168, First Choice begins even better, and goes on to offer Kefalonia, Corfu and Costa Dorada for up to £196.
  • Direct Holidays really throws down the gauntlet, with Antalya (Turkey) Half Board and 4* Costa Blanca Self Catering Holidays for just £146, Izmir and Majorca for £147, and Fuerteventura and Dalaman holidays for £160 and £137 respectively.
  • Looking further away, Lastminute.com offers 4* Gambia B&B from £399 and Antigua from £701, as well as 4* Red Sea Cruise and Stay HB/AI from £569.

As you can see, there are plenty of really cheap Last Minute Holidays to be found if you are in the mood for looking and booking.
