Are the Portugese from Madeira and Azores different?
I live in Honolulu, HI USA and we are a diverse culture. Many portugese immigrants from the late 1800s early 1900s came from Madeira. There aren't too many pure local portugese people around in Hawaii but some have mixed and they turned out to be really good looking. I am aware that Portugal is in Europe and Portugese people are considered white people but in Hawaii because most portugese people are mixed, they do not look white. Although Hawaii is a state, it is isolated from mainland USA so our culture is way different from the typical American lifestyle. Is it the same for Portugal. Another Madeira born native Christiano Ronaldo is so good looking. He is too dark to be considered to be white and looks mixed. Do people in Azores and Madeira look like him?

We think we have found a really good package deal that fits within our budget.However, I really like the heat and am worried that its not going to be hot. We are going the first 2 weeks of July. I always go to Spain for summer holidays and its obviously very hot but Spain is in the med and Madeira is on the atlantic. Does anyone know what sort of temperatures it will be in July ? Canary Islands vs Madeira?
My girlfriend and I are both 20. We're tired with everything about the U.S. and the weather here. We're looking to move out of the country and have two choices on our plate to where we want to relocate to those being Madeira Island and the Canary Islands . We're both quiet people so we like peace and quiet so we're not loud and obnoxious. She's into reading and writing and i'm into Astronomy. We're also active and we like to bike, walk, run, hike etc. My girlfriend is from Spain and speaks fluent Spanish and English her Portuguese is a little bad and i'm from Portugal and speak fluent Portuguese and English and pretty good Spanish. We were wondering about the jobs and we could always go for being translators. me being a translator on Madeira and her being a translator on the Canary Islands So which island is " better" ? I've done some pretty intense research on both of these places and I can't pick between the two. They both seem so beautiful. To my knowledge, here are the pros and cons and correct me if i'm wrong.Pros Canaries Warmer climateMore beachesClearer skies i'm into Astronomy It's heap again correct me if i'm wrong Has Mt. Teide. I've always wanted to go up there and do some of my Astronomy plus it's my goal to reach the top.Cons Canaries Desert moon like landscape on the islandsWAY too touristy, therefore no peace and quietI've heard they're sort of dirty?All the resorts and tourist stuff ruined the islands beauty.Pros Madeira More beautiful and greenMore quietIt's Portuguese I want to stick with my Portuguese culture It's not a mass market tourist destination like the CanariesCons Madeira Lower temperatures here than the CanariesNo beaches besides the one in Porto SantoIt would be our dream to live in one of these places but again, we can't choose. Which is the most picturesque village along the coast of the Island of Madeira Portugal?
My family and I just heard about Madeira within the last year, have seen plenty of excellent photos of the island and would like to go there either by the first of April or by the first of May, which ever is considered the best time yet with plenty of sunshine and good swimming, and preferably with the least amount of tourists. We love natural beauty and the beach but also excellent food at affordable prices. Is there someone who has been there and has an idea of where we might love to stay. We also are looking for affordable accommodations for one month with enough room for a four year old and my wife and I where we will all be comfortable.
